representative to the County. |

of Wesley Chapel Website get an "A+" in a recent study
In a study of the websites
maintained by the Union County Government and the 14 county
municipalities, only Wesley Chapel and Mineral Springs scored an
"A+" rating. As compiled by Dan Schallenkamp, the
editor of Indian Trail FYI (www.ITFYI.org), each web site
was judged for their aesthetics, readability and most
importantly content including agendas, minutes, resolutions,
budget reports, ordinances and contacts..

Barbara Moore Appointed to Council Seat
Jim Mullis elected Mayor Pro Tem |
Wesley Chapel Village Council
appointed Barbara Moore to fill the seat vacated by the Mayor Mike
Hafey at last months Council Meeting. Ms. Moore recently retired
from a 30 plus year career as the Clerk of Union County. Her
experience will undoubtedly bring a new perspective to the policies
and procedures adopted by the village council. Councilman Jim Mullis
was elected as Mayor Pro Tem, succeeding Mike Hafey. |

Wesley Chapels New Mayor - Mike
Hafey. Mayor Pro Tem Mike Hafey was nominated by Council
person Camille Marshall to fill the remaining term of former Mayor
AL Black. Mike resigned his office as Councilman and was appointed
as Mayor by a unanimous vote. |

Mayor
Al Black tendered his resignation as Mayor of Wesley Chapel
effective immediately, as of April 19, 2004. Mr. Black and his wife plan to move out of
the area and closer to family. Mayor Pro Tem Mike Hafey will assume
mayoral duties until a new mayor is appointed by the council. Mayor
Black also serves as Budget Director for the Village. |

At the March 8 Council meeting, Mr. Butch Plyler was sworn in to fill
the term of Todd Bennington who resigned in January. Mr. Plyler
wears many hats as he is currently the Chairman of the Planning Board
and the Chairman of the Wesley Chapel Fire Department. |

Wesley
Chapel Mayor Al Black announced the immediate resignation of
Council Member Todd Bennington. The Mayor spoke at the opening
of the annual Council Retreat, Saturday morning, January
17th. Personal reasons were given as the cause
of Mr. Bennington's resignation.
